What is the filter for?

The HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) filter acts as a two-level protective barrier. During the vacuum phase, it ensures that the air expelled from the sterilization chamber is purified of particles and microorganisms, thus protecting the environment from contamination. Additionally, during the drying phase, it guarantees that the air reintroduced into the autoclave is thoroughly filtered, preventing any recontamination of the sterilized instruments.

Maintenance

To maintain the performance of your autoclave, the ICANCLAVE manual recommends replacing the bacterial filter every 3 months. For detailed instructions on how to proceed, please refer to your device's user manual.
