Steam sterilization indicator strips – Type 5 (VAPOR C) are designed to verify the validity of essential steam sterilization cycle parameters: time, temperature, and saturated steam.
They provide an immediate, reliable, and unambiguous reading of the result, whether for a cycle at 121°C for 15 minutes or at 134°C for 3.5 minutes.
Each strip consists of an absorbent backing and a steam and temperature sensitive chemical pellet, sealed in a multi-layered envelope of paper, plastic film, and aluminum foil.
During the sterilization cycle, the pellet dissolves and migrates through an indicator window, clearly displaying the result: “Rejected” or “Accepted".
Compliant with ISO 11140-1 (Type 5), these indicators offer reliable and precise control of each sterilization cycle.
Compatible with all steam autoclaves, they ensure optimal traceability and safety in daily practice.
